“Hunter” German Character Stein

I have collected beer steins and glasses for over 50 years. Now it is time to downsize a bit so here
is a neat figural beer stein depicting a hunter with a weapon and pipe. It is made of cream stoneware and is hand-painted
.
Eckhardt & Engler produced steins from 1918 through the 1950’s
. This stein is marked “Western Germany” which dates it to after World War II.
The stein is 8½ inches tall and has a width of 4 inches at the base.
Condition:
The stein is in MINT condition. There are no flakes, flea bites, chips, hairlines, cracks or staining. Stoneware does not develop crazing. The 5-ring hinge and strap are tight and the lid sits correctly.
Markings:
The
stein has the following molded on the bottom: Model Number (422), Capacity (0.5L), “Western Germany” and the Eckhardt & Engler Logo.
