Robert Smith caught for the Pirates at the turn of the century and was Honus Wagers best friend and ended up marrying Smith's sister. That was a golden era for the Pirates. The condition is excellent and could be used to catch today.

    This is a great mitt with some history. It was used by Robert Smith's great-grandson several removed, in his budding career as a catcher from 1962 to 1966. Robert Smith caught for the Pirates at the turn of the century and was Honus Wagers best friend and ended up marrying Smith's sister. That was the golden era for the Pirates. The condition is excellent and could be used to catch today.
