VINTAGE MACGREGOR GT LEFT-HAND "BIG-KLU" CATCHER'S MITT - "A TRAPPER MODEL"

Description

This is for a Vintage 1950's (possibly 1940's) MacGregor GT "BIG KLU" Leather Catcher's Mitt "A Trapper Model" Patented Under License #2281315. This vintage catcher's mitt was used, then only collected for the past 40+ year and is in very good condition for it's age (around 70 years old). This is a great catcher's mitt for any collector of vintage baseball gear. This vintage catcher's mitt is still usable as well, just very old.

This is a vintage left handed MacGregor GT model catcher's mitt, with the "MacGregor GT" embossed on the inside base of the glove (visible in photo #6). The inside center of the glove is embossed "Big KLU" with a ballplayer (visible in photo #7). Instructions on where to place fingers and adjustable threads are also embossed on the outside of the glove just below the vintage MacGregor sewn black and gold patch (visible in photo #4). The patent license number is embossed on the outer right edge of the thumb section (visible in photo #5) and the words "A Trapper Model" is embossed on the inside of the glove, at the top of the fingers section. There is some wear on the outer edges along the base of the glove and along the strap that goes over the wrist (visible in photo #9).
Whether using this mitt or just adding it to a vintage collection, we recommend oiling the mitt regularly, with a reputable brand mitt oil, because of its age, which will protect the mitt's leather from drying out. We have oiled the mitt regularly to preserve the leather and will oil the mitt prior to shipping as well
