Vintage Hawthorne Claw 3-finger 1st Base Mitt/Glove "Nippy" Jones Model 60-4242

Description

Played for the 1946-51 St. Louis Cardinals, 1952 Philadelphia Phillies, 1957 Milwaukee Braves.  He is famous for the shoe polish incident during the 1957 World Series that helped the Braves win the world championship against the Yankees.  Made by Hawthorne Sporting Goods (defunct).  All markings are fairly sharp and easy to read.
