    Description

    Vintage Military Beer Bier Stein 1897-99
    Inscriptions are all in German. I speak some German, but the text is in traditional German typeface and I can't read it with enough confidence to accurately translate it. See photos for details.
    There is also an image of the soldier at the inside bottom (see last photo)
    It is definitely military in nature, as one of the painted scenes is of a solder kissing a beer garden waitress dressed in the traditional German dirndl.
