Description
The stein mold is "Tavern Scene" or MG 883 and the 1.5 L stein is 13.5" high.
The text around the scene reads:
"Im Herzen die Liebe, im Arme di Kraft,
im Humpen den edlen Gerstensaft"
Which means:
"Love in the heart, strength in the arms,
the noble barley juice in the stein"
Backstory
This vintage German beer stein by Matthias Girmscheid belonged to my husband's father and has been in the familay for over 50 years.
