Large Web. For 72 years old, the leather is still pretty good. Lacing replaced not original, years ago,kid with shoestring. It was a birthday gift at Age 10. That was Oct 28 1948. Big Sister's Wedding day. She gave me a B'day gift on her special day. 73 years later, it has been sitting untouched on my office bookcase.
I played with it for 30 years, till age 40, then both me & mitt retired. The leather is in fair to good condition. As a little kid wanting the mitt to last forever, I oiled it almost
every summer night,
with guess what? OLIVE OIL. Who could afford Saddle Soap in East Harlem in the 50's. I'm afraid the years on its side did not do it good. But I sit around, and I got old. I love it and my departed sister, but at 82, trouble walking, I wont be using it.So, if the price will help me let it go, okay. Sports expert's appraisal: .00.
