VINTAGE 1940'S-1950'S LEO A REACH LEFT-HAND LEATHER BASEBALL MITT

This is for a Vintage 1950's (possibly 1940's) Geo A Reach Leather Left-Hand Baseball Mitt. This vintage baseball mitt was used, then only collected for the past 40+ years and is in good condition for it's age (around 70 years old). This is a great baseball mitt for any collector of vintage baseball gear. This vintage left hand baseball mitt is still usable as well, just very old.

This is a vintage left-hand Geo A Reach baseball mitt, with the original black and gold Geo A Reach Co. Inc. PHILADELPHIA, PA. label sewn into the leather wrist strap (visible in photo #4, photo #5 and photo #12). The Geo A Reach baseball logo is also embossed in the webbing between the thumb and fingers on the inside of the glove. There is a lot of wear on the outer edges along the base of the glove and along the strap that goes over the wrist (visible in photo #10, photo #11 and photo #12).
The leather of this mitt is very dry on the inside mid-section (where you would catch the ball), on the outer edges of the base of the glove, on the outer edges of the wrist strap and on inner area where the fingers go and where the hand would rest when glove is on. Whether using this mitt or just adding it to a vintage collection, we recommend oiling the mitt, with a reputable brand mitt oil, regularly because of its age and dry condition. We have oiled the mitt regularly to preserve the leather and will oil the mitt prior to shipping as well
