Description
Here is a super rare Mizuno World Win Professional Tsubota III baseball glove for a left handed thrower. The glove is an adult size glove and it measures 11.5" long through the pocket. From what I know I believe this model was made in 1983. Tsubota was the main glove maker and designer for Mizuno and some consider this one of the best made baseball gloves ever. The glove has the early World Win logo stamped on it along with Professional, Perfectly Stitched With Nylon, Flex for Fine Play, Multi-Hinge, Press Formed Pocket, Cross Web, Tsubota III all on the front. On the backside is Lite-Flex, JAPAN and Stabilizer System (which appears to be another layer of leather over the middle of the backside of the fingers). It looks like a name was blacked out to the left of the backstrap. It's faded some now. Glove has been used and is fully broken in. Lacing appears intact. Lacing through the heel and palm area is darker, so I'm assuming the finger and web were relaced years ago. Stamping on glove is readable. Quality leather is still soft and supple. Interior leather is still soft and supple with minor chafing where the hand goes and a bit up into the fingers. Mizuno patch on back has faded a bit but is intact. The red/white cup circle patch shows some threads loose on the cup. But you have to be close to notice that. Leather piping is nice but there is wear on it for about 2 inches under the backstrap. The last picture shows that. The wool padding appears to still be there but is a bit roughed up in the same area as the piping I just noted. The thumb and pinky finger adjustors appear to be working fine.
I have other gloves and mitts on eBay ending now and I like to combine shipping whenever possible. If you win more than one glove you'll have to pay the grand total for shipping. But I'll refund you the difference back on the price of combined shipping. Or I'll send out an invoice if possible.
