Circa 1940's Rex Pete Reiser model baseball glove

An adult size high quality split finger style glove circa the mid to late 1940's. Has very soft and pliable outer leather. The inside lining has wear with a hole up inside the pinky slot, but is otherwise comfortable on my hand. The rolled leather piping has a few spots of wear. The thumb seam protector has 2 inches of loose stitching. Has very light writing on the wrist strap.
Excellent overall condition.
Pete Reiser was a superstar in Brooklyn during the early 1940's, however an injury suffered while he was in the military during WW2 (playing baseball) curtailed his career. Nonetheless, he retired with a lifetime .306 batting average after the 1952 season.
