Description
This beer stein was bought in 2003 in Bamberg, Germany. On one side of the mug is the Alt Rathaus (old town hall) in Bamberg. On another side theWirtshaus Humpen
(a pub named Humpen)
is depicted with scenes labeled "Im Wirsthaus anno 1640" (in the tavern in 1640), and "Bierbrauer anno 1550" (beer brewer in 1550). On the remaining side, the
Wirtshaus Humpen with the "Wirt anno 1730" (landlord in 1730), "Frau Wirtin" (landlady), and "S
echergespann anno 1860" (carriages in the year 1860) are depicted.
On the bottom of the mug is written "Original Zinn Becker Stein Stuttgart Filigran Gravur (filigree engraving) gar. lebensmittelecht" (food safe), an angel stamp then the words "95% Zinn gegossen" (95% tin poured).
The stein is 6 inches tall and the bottom diameter is a little more than 4 inches. This is a unique and beautiful stein. See photos for details.
