    Description

This is a beautiful German Beer Stein.  Steins of all types were used in Germany since the 1400's.  This one is made of ceramic with a metal lid.
Inside the metal lid are the letters "DGBM", which the government's way of regulating the industry.  There is also a makers mark that looks like an "R" above an "M".
The mark on the outside is the contents, "1 1/2 LIT".  It is a tall stein, at 13 1/2" tall.
There are phrases, in German, on the sides, "Gut gezielt its half getroffen, Sichr'e Hand die Augen often".  Translated, this means, "Well aimed is half hit,
    Sure hand, eyes open".
A gentleman teaches a woman how to shoot with castles and greenery surround.
There are several maker's marks, mostly on the bottom.  On the tankard, at the handle is "1402".  On the bottom, inside the legs of the "A" is a "T".  There is a series of letters/numbers not legible.  But mostly, the stein is dated by one stamp alone, "West Germany", shown in my last picture.  That alone, dates it to late 1940's, 1950's, or 1960's.
Shipping for this stein will be only .00 anywhere in the U.S. for 2-4 day Priority mail.
