    Description

    The stein was designed by C Warth who was the head of the Mettlach design team. It features 7 students gathered around a table and a hostess serving them. There is also a dog next to the table. In 1885 it must have been the custom to allow dogs into the tavern. Today in Germany and other places in Europe they still allow dogs into the taverns. The dogs are in my experience especially well behaved.
