Merkelbach Manufaktur Hohr-Grenzhausen 5" stoneware beer stein w. metal lid

Description

This is an original stoneware Merkelbach Manufaktur Hohr-Grenzhausen beer stein made in Germany. Measuring 5" high at the rim of the stein, 5.5" high at the top of the lid, 6.125" high at its highest point on the handle, and 3.875" in diameter at the base, this piece features a fine glaze over gray stoneware and blue and brown glass accents, along with a metal lid.
Overall, this stein is in good condition. There are only slight production flaws (tiny fleabites, dimples, paint spots, streaks, and indentations--all of which are difficult to see unless you look hard for them, and none of which even show up in my photos of every angle) in the stoneware, and the usual rough areas with scuffs are present on the base (see my final photo). However, the metal lid, which opens and closes smoothly, does have some scattered tiny spots of corrosion and the slightest of nicks; again, these are so small that they're not apparent in my photos.
