    Description

    Nice large stein or beer pitcher. This piece is hand painted with the Elks club logo. Using gold, green, lapis pink and brown paint the artist has created a really beautiful work of art. I estimate that this was made circa 1900-1920.  The piece is in good condition, there is a 2" hairline crack as shown in photo. The crack barely appears on the inside and is most likely a flaw in the making , there is no chip. The piece still has a good ring to it when tapped, indicating it is still sound. The paint on the design is nearly perfect. There is some wear to the gold band on the top and bottom.
    The piece is marked "Made In Germany" on the base. The measurements are: 10" X 5" . It weighs approx 3 pounds.
