King- Werk is a family owned business that practices the centuries old craft of stein making.
Located in Germany's Western Forest many King-Werk steins are based on antique designs.
In the early 1500s Germany established laws requiring all food and beverage containers be covered to protect their contents, in reaction to a several fly invasions. In response easy to open "steinkrugs" were created with the lid, hinge and thumb lift combined. Made from German clay and created by skilled craftsman, you can carry on a European tradition with your own artful King-Werk stein.
