    German ceramic, etched, 1 L, pewter lid.
    The text on the body reads:
    "
    Staub macht Durst und da der Mensch aus Staub gemacht, so mag er trinken Tag und Nacht.

    And translates to
    :

    Condition and Description:
    Overall in excellent condition, just a tiny ding to the pewter lid.  This tremendous stein displays incredibly well, exactly as pictured!
