German ceramic, etched, 1 L, pewter lid.
The text on the body reads:
"Wohl bekomm’s" & "Trinken ist das Allerbest, schon vor tausend Jahr’ gewest."
And translates to
:
"To your health" & "Drinking has been the greatest for a thousand years."

Condition and Description:
Overall in very good condition.  The body is mint, but the pewter has been slightly deformed/dented and the lid does not seat perfectly (as pictured).  Otherwise a tremendous stein, with great color and presence - nearly a foot tall!  It also shares a timeless sentiment, well if you are into booze.

Height: ~11.5" tall from base to finial
Width: ~4.4" at the base
On the subject of shipping and handling, I have a 100% success rate(knock on wood) with the steins I have packed and shipped arriving to their new homes in perfect condition.  This stein will be well packed and shipped fully insured, USPS priority or Fedex home.
