Collection Prize! Unique Gerzit "Keg" Stein. 1/2 liter, stoneware w/pewter lid

Description

Enjoy using or displaying this hefty Gerzit "keg" style beer stein.  It measures 7 1/2" tall, with a wide 5 1/2" base, and incorporates a wooden spout through the porcelain, making this an unusual and interesting stein variation.  It is hand painted, glazed ceramic, stamped on the bottom with the Gerzit original W. Germany logo.  It's in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or scratches and has been carefully displayed behind glass over 35 years.  The spout is actually inserted and sealed through the stein and will pour, if desired.  A great novelty effect, but drinking from the top would no doubt be preferred.  The grey stoneware has cobalt blue raised relief, brown and blue accents on the front, and a pewter lid attached to the handle.  It'll hold 1/2 liter of beer, or will sit nicely on any display shelf.  From a smoke free, pet free home.  Thanks for looking.    96
