    BEAUTIFUL ART NOUVEAU PERIOD SLIDING DOOR HANDLE - 1880-1910
    Pull-push decorative recessed door handle from TURN-OF-THE-19TH-CENTURY in the Art  Nouveau Period. Such a lovely design for a functional piece of hardware. The Art Nouveau Period with its flowing lines and organic shapes will never come again, not like it was then, fresh and new and alive.
    In those days, brass was made with a different formula that gave it a softness and subtlety. A well designed and well made piece.
