Antique German Pewter Lidded Glass Beer Stein .5L Heavy
This a handsome glass beer stein most likely made in Germany (based on the collection it came from) with a simple domed pewter lid.
The lid has a nice patina.
The stein measures 6'' to the top of lid with a diameter of 4-1/2” at the base.
It’s a heavy stein weighing 2lbs.
There are no visible markings.
This stein has been well-cared for and is in very good condition for a piece this age - there are two minor dings near the bottom left (please see the photos).
It does show some wear in the normal places including minor scratching on the bottom
.
The lid fits tightly and has no wobble.
There are several very small bubbles in the glass, but those are inherent in the glass-making process. I have not cleaned this more than a dusting with a soft cloth.
The stein will be carefully packaged for shipping.
