  • Condition: Antique German Ceramic Beer Stein w/Metal Hinged Ceramic Lid. There is light crazing in some places and very minor damage to the top rim and lid just to the right of center(Please see photo #8).The photo actually makes it look worse than it really is as most of that is not clearly visible when the lid is closed. I do not see any other damage to report. The bottom is stamped "1227" above the word "Germany" and below is the number "8" (Pls see photo #10). I have not made any attempt to clean the stein other than to simply wipe it down. Please see all of the photos as they are part of the description.

    Antique German Ceramic Beer Stein w/Metal Hinged Ceramic Lid. There is light crazing in some places and very minor damage to the top rim and lid just to the right of center(Please see photo #8).
    The photo actually makes it look worse than it really is as most of that is not clearly visible when the lid is closed. I do not see any other damage to report. The bottom is stamped "1227" above the word "Germany" and below is the number "8" (Pls see photo #10). I have not made any attempt to clean the stein other than to simply wipe it down. The inscription on the lid is: In English: "Bold; Robust; Powerful; Artistic". In the middle it is: In English:  "By virtue of good health" and around the bottom rim it is: "In the heart the courage; In the arms the strength; In the hump the noble barley juice".
