    Description:
    This beautiful pewter sculptural wall plate/plaque was made in Germany in the mid-1700s.
    This plaque is made of pewter and meticulously hand-crafted using repousse and chasing techniques to create a charming work of art. The central medallion is chased in form of a bearded man - a fantasy face with a beard divided into three parts with a central part tied in several knots.
    The chased around it are fancy and decoratibvve ornaments, background is made of thousands of small dots.
    The top of the plaque is engraved with initials "Z.B." and dated 1754 with "17" on the left of the initials and "54" on the right.
    The plaque is 12" in diameter. It is in good condition - there is some minor dings to the pewter but no damage or repairs. It comes with the old antique hanging mounts that still could be used or could be replaced with a modern ones.
