Antique Baseball/Softball Glove w/ Ball Japanese Made Mitt

Sports collectibles are a bit out of our wheelhouse, so we will let the pictures offer the best description. It looks like a baseball glove with a softball inside, but perhaps it is a softball mitt? Nonetheless, there are two stampings that we can find - one indicating that it is a "quality product of Japan", and the other indicating that it is "nylon stitched". We realize that for collectibles to maintain maximum value, condition is important. However, this glove has attained a very cool age patina, and the leather has stiffened in such a way that the ball is naturally clenched in the glove (it's been this way for decades). As such, we think that it makes for a very unique display and is worthy of preservation!
The glove remains in fair condition, showing ample signs of age, use, and wear. Metal parts have oxidized with age, and the leather has taken on a dusty white appearance from storage. The leather has stiffened and dried with age, but is not a fossil. There are areas of abrasion and wear in isolated areas along the edges. Please see the pictures for more detail.
