    Condition and Description:
    Overall in mint condition condition.
    The text is the first part of a poem by the Norwegian poet Per Sivle.  A great stein, with tremendous presentation and historical significance especially so if you are Norwegian... This stein commemorates the separation of Norway from Sweden in 1905. The profiles central to the front of the stein are of King Haakon VII and Queen Maude. The side scene profiles are of four Norwegian statesmen who served on a committee which negotiated with Sweden for a dissolution of the Union (dated August 31 - September 23 1905). Prince Charles of Denmark was offered the Norwegian throne and on November 27 of 1905 assumed the throne and took the Old Norse name Haakon. The other four statesmen were: Fridtjof Nansen, Carl Berner, Peter Christian Michelsen and Jorge Lovland.  Goes without saying, but the stein displays incredibly well!
