    Description

    This 1.5L stein is AJ Thewalts stein depicting the departure scene of the trumpeter of Sachigen. The stein depicts the trumpeter who feel in love with the Barron's daughter b  ut because he was not royalty could not married the daugher  even though they loved each other. The sad emotional moving story eventually achieves a happy ending after the trumpeter is rewarded with royalaty after serving in the Pope's army and as a trumpeter for the pope and the Barron accepts him and allows his daugher to marry him. The German writing on the stein can be translated as "May God watch over you, it would have been so nice. May God watch over you, it was not meant to be.
