    Description

    This is a .5 liter porcelain stein made by Dorfner & Co of Bavaria before 1895. It is 8.5" to the top of the pewter  lid which is attached to the handle through a thick 3 ring hinge. Transfer decoration of the Turner's, a gymnastic society whose motto, Frisch, Fromm, Froeh, Frei (Fresh Pious Happy Free) is symbolized by the 4F logo. Writing in the top banner is translated by the Stein Collectors International.
