32L German Lidded Beer Stein "World's Largest" Gerz German Beer Stein UNDAMAGED

-You are ordering this colossal, approximately 8 gallon capacity, Made in Germany, Gerz, hand painted, 45" tall, removable lid, German Beer Stein.
-Please see the "Stein-CAM" video link below for the best views and condition.  (I apologize in advance for the shaky camera work, I needed 3 hands.)
-The body art is inspired by the 1652 painting "Flemish Kermess" by David Teniers the Younger.
-Removable lid adorned by a child playing the harp.
-Upper inscription loosely translated reads, "He who can finish/empty this stein is truly a man!"
-Some information, photos of other lid / color variations, and old photographs / postcards featuring these steins can be found by searching under "World's Largest Stein."  While this piece is not the the World's largest in history, and therefore used in quotes, it will in fact settle most "mine is bigger than yours" stein challenges. The best information and research on this piece is available at at stein-collectors.org in a three part article by Mr. Ronald Gray detailing the collaborative effort between SP Gerz and Thewalt in producing these monumental stein.
-As seen on Hermann's Fine gifts. Has been also known as an "Ultimate stein."
-Age.  Remains a mystery.  I have seen a few of these steins now.  This one is heavier than newer ones with known dates of production (special order date), leading me to believe it is one of the older ones that required multiple firings due to limited kiln size available until collaboration.
-This cross-collectible giant demands attention in any stein or German themed collection.

Specs:  44.5" tall to the top of the child's head.  Weighs right at 40 pounds empty.  Base diameter is approximately 13.5 inches.

This piece will be professionally packed and shipped with insurance to ensure it arrives safely.  I received a quote of 5.00 to get this piece packed and insured to most destinations in the 48 contiguous states.
