Description
Here is a vintage 1970's Rawlings Amos Otis model XPG-26 baseball glove for a LH thrower. Otis was a right handed thrower. The glove is an adult size glove and it measures 11" long through the pocket. Rawlings made this glove with his endorsement from 1976-1979 per Rawlings catalog info. The glove has soft leather inside and out. Made in USA. Deep Well Pocket by web, Amos Otis Autograph, Spiral Top Speed Trap web, L Heel, Made in USA and The Finest in the Field are all stamped on the glove.A faint SSS written on the backside of the pinky finger is the only owners ink I see on the glove. Soft leather inside and out. No chafing on the interior leather. Light tan in color. Patch shows wear but is readable. The lacing appears original and intact.
Amos Otis played most of his career and is best known for playing from 1970-1983 for the Kansas City Royals. He started out playing for the New York Mets in 1967 and 1969 (but was not on the World Series roster). He finished playing in 1984 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was a 5 time AL All-Star selection and he won 3 Gold Glove awards as an outfielder. He was on the 1980 KC Royals World Series team that lost to the Phillies and also part of ALCS series with the Royals in 1976, 1977, 1978, 1980 and 1981.
I have other gloves and mitts on eBay ending now and I like to combine shipping whenever possible. If you win more than one glove you'll have to pay the grand total for shipping. But I'll refund you the difference back on the price of combined shipping. Or I'll send out an invoice if possible.
