  • Condition: There is a somewhat faint previous owners name in marker on the bottom outside part of the thumb. There is a bad stain running diagonally through the palm and down to the heel. The leather has hardened a bit where the stain is. I tried to get the stain out and didn't accomplish much. The rest of the leather inside and out is soft and flexible. Nice cloth patch on the backstrap. The interior leather has darkened, but is still soft and mostly smooth. Leather lacing appears original and is intact. Leather piping is soft and not cracked that I can see.

    Description

    Here is a vintage 1960's Rawlings non-endorsed model GGA baseball glove for a Right Handed thrower and thus fits on the left hand. Made in the USA. The glove is an adult size glove and it measures 11" long through the pocket. The catalog info I have shows that Rawlings made this glove only in 1968. A bit rare of a glove due to this.
    The model GGA stands for Gold Glove Award and in the palm of the glove is stamped Major League All-Star Fielding Team. Also stamped "The Finest in the Field". On the back is Edge-U-Cated Heel, 100% Nylon Sewn and Pat. No. 2,995,757.
    The glove has soft leather inside and out. There is a nice original Rawlings patch sewn on the backstrap.
