    Description

For sale is this 1964 Israeli State 30th Anniversary First Immigrant Runners Commemorative Bronze Medal. The obverse, designed by
    Yitzhak Pugacz,
    of this large 2 3/8 inch-diameter medallion features a
deep incuse depiction of the Mediterranean and Black Seas with routes of blockade runners converging on the Israeli coast. The reverse, designed by
    Dodo Shenhav,
shows an enlarged barbed wire fence above a relief outline of Palestine coast with a blockade runner bursting through - full of immigrants - towards the beach where a welcoming group awaits.
