  • Condition: No owner's ink on the glove. Reasonably soft leather inside and out. No chafing on the interior leather. Lacing is intact and original. Stamping a little light in places but all is readable. Decent Wilson W patch on backstrap. Leather piping is nice. High quality glove. Model number is a kind of hard to read as are the patent numbers info on the outside of the pinky finger.

    Here is a high quality vintage 1960's Wilson Nelson Fox Personal Model A2022 baseball glove for a LH thrower. Fax was a right handed thrower.  The glove is an adult size glove and it measures 11" long through the pocket. Wilson made this glove with his endorsement from 1962-1966 per Wilson catalog info. And it was up the line as one of the better gloves Wilson made back then. Made in USA. Grip-Tite Pocket by web, Nelson Fox Personal Model, Split-Lock web, Snap Action, Wilson, A2022, Made in USA and Nylon Stitched all are all stamped on the glove.

    Nelson Fox played most of his career and is best known for playing from 1950-1963 for the Chicago White Sox. He started out playing for the Philadelphia A's from 1947-1949. He finished playing in 1964-1965 for the Houston Colt 45's. He was elected into the MLB Hall of Fame in 1997 by the Veterans Committee.  He was a 15 time AL All-Star selection and he won 3 Gold Glove awards as an infielder. He was on the 1959 White Sox World Series team that lost. He also was the American League MVP in 1959!
