1960's Spalding Don Drysdale 42-227 USA baseball glove RH Los Angeles Dodgers

Here is a vintage 1960's Spalding Don Drysdale Professional Model 42-227 baseball glove for a Right Handed thrower and thus fits on the left hand. Drysdale was a right handed thrower.  Made in the USA. The glove is an adult size glove and it measures 11" long through the pocket. It is big and not fully broken in.  Spalding made this glove with his endorsement from 1966-1967 per Spalding catalog info.  The glove has soft leather inside and out. Made in USA, Form Pocket by web, Don Drysdale Professional Model, 42-227, Spalding, Split Action web, E-Z Flex, 100% Nylon Stitched, Pat. No. 2,995,757 and X-Laced Wrist are all stamped on the glove. There is a very nice original Spalding patch sewn on the backstrap.
Very nice and big vintage glove has no owners ink on it. Leather lacing looks original and appears intact. The lacing is cracking some along the tops of the fingers, but just the top layer of leather flaking off it appears. Soft leather inside and out. Very nice soft and smooth interior leather with no chafing. There is some cracking and a little missing leather piping on the bottom of the backstrap, from sweating it appears. Nice wool padding underneath the backstrap. Really a nice quality glove. It sold for .95 in 1966 when the top line glove sold for .95 and it sold for .75 in 1967 when the top line glove sold for .95.
Don Drysdale of course is a Major League Hall of Famer after a great career from 1956 - 1969 with the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was on 3 World Series winning Los Angeles Dodgers teams
