  • Condition: No owners ink on the mitt. Used glove is still pretty nice for being made in 1963. On the outside of the thumb there is a lace hole open. The rest of the lacing appears original and intact. Leather is still soft and useable. Interior leather is soft and smooth. This was a pretty well made mitt. Original Red cloth patch shows wear but is readable.

    Description

    Here is a vintage 1963 Rawlings Roy Sievers Personal Model TN-30 baseball 1st baseman's mitt or glove for a LH thrower.  The glove has soft leather and leather piping. The quality mitt is adult size and measures 12" long through the pocket. The mitt has the nice and desirable Big T Trapper web.  This model 1st base mitt was only made in 1963 and was the 5nd highest quality mitt made (selling for .95) out of 12 mitts Rawlings made that year. So it was and is a quality glove. Custom Crafted, Hinged Pad, Made in USA, The Finest in the Field, Pat.No. 2,625,686.

    Roy Sievers played from 1949 - 1953 for the St. Louis Browns and won the AL Rookie of the Year award. He then played from 1954-1959 for the Washington Senators, 1960-1961 for the Chicago White Sox, 1962-1964 for the Phillies, and 1964-1965 again for the Senators. He was an All-Star 5 times. He led the AL in homers in 1957 with 42.
