    Up for auction is a 1949 Israel 25 mil coin NGC MS60, uncirculated. Beautiful surfaces and under graded in my opinion, but beautiful is subjective. All the same, according to NGC, there are only 9 graded better in the world…
    Why is this significant? It’s the year Israel achieved an independent state. Wait, let’s take a step back…. Technically, the UN approved the creation of ISRAEL in 1948, but the people had to fight a war in 1949 to keep it… so 1949 is an essential year in Jewish history.
